From 1989 to 2025, Blackcomb Helicopters was one of the leading helicopter operators in Western Canada. At its peak, it operated over 22 aircraft across seven bases in BC and Alberta focusing on utility operations, fire suppression, tourism, and general charters. The McLean Group [link to MG site], owners since 2006, decided to wind down helicopter operations in early 2025 and focus on aircraft leasing, aviation real estate, and related asset management. Located at our state-of-the-art headquarters at Boundary Bay Airport, Blackcomb Helicopters offers an array of aircraft and bases for sale and lease.
Blackcomb Aviation Leasing is the McLean Group’s Aviation Asset Management division responsible for aviation asset acquisition, sales, and leasing, in addition to aviation real estate acquisition, leasing, management and sales. We are based at our state-of-the-art facility at Boundary Bay Airport in British Columbia, Canada.
